Barb Walz

Cash Management Officer

Barb Walz

Barb was born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, and graduated from Puyallup High School. After graduating from high school, she attended Green River Community College and studied Criminal Justice, specifically Forensic Sciences. However, her path took her into the food service industry, and after years of hard work, Barb opened her own catering business and bartending school in Spokane, Washington.

Barb moved back to the Puget Sound in 2003 and made a change in careers by going into the financial industry. She began as a merchant teller and worked her way up. “I believe you can gain a lot of experience, knowledge, and respect by starting at entry level,” she stated. Barb has been in Cash Management for the last 18 years, but her passion remains the same: helping people whether they are co-workers or clients.

Barb’s late sister, who passed after a long battle with cancer, taught her how to be the best version of herself and that each person makes an impact in the world. She tries every day to live positively-even during challenging times-like her sister did.

When Barb isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 37 years, their daughter, and their two grandsons. She also loves reading true crime and mystery books, listening to music, and spending time at the beach in any weather.

Monica Neeley

Cash Management Officer

Monica Neeley

Originally from Southern California, Monica and her family moved to Washington state in 2014. Monica brings seven years of experience in the financial services industry; all spent in cash management services. She began her career at Columbia Bank in late 2016, working in the Treasury Management Services Department.

As Monica grew and learned more about her field, she developed a passion for the industry. Eventually, she moved into a lead role and worked directly with online banking and the Treasury Services onboarding process. Working closely with the treasury sales team, Monica developed a strong interest in this field and eventually took a position as a Treasury Sales Analyst where she worked directly in government, Native American, and commercial banking.

For Monica, the most important aspect of her job is the opportunity it provides to meet new people and learn about their businesses. “I love helping our Business Members use our Cash Management products and provide them with knowledge of how our products can benefit them,” said Monica.

When she isn’t helping businesses grow, Monica loves traveling and experiencing new cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking with her kids, and building lifelong memories they can share together.
